In the unlikely event of The Dearne ALC being unable to open prior to usual opening hours, the school ensures that it utilises the following communications methods to inform parents/carers and students that the school will not be open:
If there is a requirement to close during the school day, parents/carers will be contacted and arrangements put in place for collection of students or other means of returning home as agreed. The school would then be open as usual the following morning unless notified via the methods indicated above.
